Occupational Safety Card Training Online – Remote Training
Occupational Safety Card as quickly as possible. The mobile Occupational Safety Card is available immediately after successfully completing the training. The training includes guidance on how to activate the mobile card, so you can start using it as easily and quickly as possible.
Experienced top trainers ensure that you are very likely to pass the Occupational Safety Card exam, as the pass rate for all participants is over 99%.
Participants will receive an official Occupational Safety Card issued by the Center of Occupational Safety, which is valid for five years. The training duration is seven hours plus the exam.
What does the Occupational Safety Card price include?
The price of the Occupational Safety Card includes everything – no hidden costs.
The training fee includes a plastic Occupational Safety Card and an electronic mobile Occupational Safety Card, electronic learning materials, and a safety booklet. You will receive the mobile card immediately after successfully completing the occupational safety course and the Occupational Safety Card exam. The mobile card serves as proof of successful completion of the Occupational Safety Card course. The physical card will be mailed to you a few weeks after the training.
Occupational Safety Card Training – Webinar Implementation
Occupational Safety Card Online is conducted as remote training, meaning the course is delivered as instructor-led online training via the Teams program. The duration of the Occupational Safety Card Training is seven (7) hours plus the exam. The training starts at 8:00 AM and ends at 3:00 PM. The exam begins immediately after the training at 3:00 PM, and the training session concludes after the exam. Coffee and lunch breaks will be taken at appropriate intervals throughout the day.
During the training, technical support is available through our customer service. Completing the training remotely is easy and does not require special IT skills. All you need is a device or mobile phone equipped with a microphone and camera, and a working internet connection. If you are unsure, join the Teams session early on the morning of the training day. We will assist you to ensure the training starts smoothly.

Instructions for Participants of the Occupational Safety Card Webinar Training:
You will receive the participation link for the Occupational Safety Card training in your email no later than the day before the training.
To participate in the training, you will need a computer, tablet, or smartphone with a working camera and microphone, and a reliable internet connection.
Each participant must have their own computer or smart device to participate in the training. You can also use multiple devices, such as following the training on a larger screen while using your phone for video and audio connection.
Keep your computer or smart device charger nearby. Ensure the functionality of your audio connection, speaker, and microphone, either from your computer or separate headphones.
The training is conducted using the Teams software, which can be downloaded for free from the internet or from the app store for smartphones or tablets. On a computer, you can also participate directly through a browser without downloading the software. If you are participating using a mobile device, please download the Teams app in advance.
The final exam will be conducted electronically at the end of the training day. You may use the learning materials to support you during the exam.
Participants must have sufficient language skills to participate in the training. Unfortunately, the use of an interpreter in the webinar training is not possible.
Successful completion of the training requires full attendance and passing the exam.

Training Content
The Occupational Safety Course provides basic knowledge on the following topics:
Principles of occupational safety and health at a shared workplace
Identifying hazards and stress factors in the workplace
Principles of safe and healthy working practices
The importance of human actions for occupational safety
Zero accidents principle and causes of accidents
Correct actions in near-miss situations
Content and significance of the most common and significant stress factors
Safe and healthy work environment and conditions
Rights and responsibilities of employers and employees
Dangerous, licensed, and exceptional work tasks and their planning
The significance of work accidents for the individual, the work community, and society
At the end of the day, an electronic exam will be conducted using the Occupational Safety Card system.

The Occupational Safety Card or its requirement is not specifically mentioned in Finnish law. However, by law, employers must ensure that employees are trained to work safely on job sites and that everyone can work safely throughout their careers. Occupational safety is governed by the Occupational Safety and Health Act (TTL 738/2002).
The training has been developed to reduce overlapping training at shared workplaces. It does not remove the employers’ obligation to train new employees, but it raises the starting level of workplace-specific training, as all cardholders have a basic understanding of working safely at a shared workplace. Therefore, the adoption and requirement of the Occupational Safety Card are voluntary for companies and other organizations, but many companies require their employees and subcontractors’ employees to have the Occupational Safety Card.
The Occupational Safety Card training is thus a convenient way for employers to provide their employees with the legally defined occupational safety skills. In addition to the general Occupational Safety Card training, workplace- and task-specific orientation is also needed, but the basic training facilitates the training of the necessary skills for everyone.
You can check the validity of your card from the card’s marking or the korttitieto.fi service. You can also verify the validity from the Center of Occupational Safety by sending an email to kortti@ttk.fi if you have lost your Occupational Safety Card and do not know if it is still valid. You can also order a new Occupational Safety Card to replace a lost one from the the Center of Occupational Safety service: https://ttk.fi/kadonnut-kortti/. The cost of a new card to replace a lost one is €10. The delivery cost for a card sent by mail is €4.50. Please note that the Occupational Safety Card can only be ordered to replace a valid lost card. The delivery time for the card is approximately 2 weeks.
The exam consists of true/false statements. A passing grade requires that 75% of the answers are correct. The question sets vary, so different courses and retakes will have different questions and statements. It is advisable to answer every question, as a blank answer is automatically considered incorrect. At the end of the remote training, the final exam is conducted electronically online. In in-person training, the exam can be taken electronically or on paper. You have half an hour to complete the exam. After the virtual exam, you will receive immediate feedback on your performance, including the correct answers and whether you passed. In in-person training, feedback on paper exams is provided by the course instructor. During the exam, you may use materials provided by the instructor, but no other aids are allowed. No other person may assist you during the exam. The occupational safety training prepares you for the final exam for the occupational safety card, which is necessary for certification. The exam should not be difficult for someone who has actively participated in the training. If needed, the exam can be retaken twice. If you have difficulties with reading or learning, you can take the exam orally. Please inform our customer service in advance if you need to take the exam orally. The retake exam will be conducted as soon as possible or within three months of the training day. If you are unable to pass the exam after two retakes, you will need to retake the training to obtain certification and the card.
However, there is no need to worry about the exam, as our team of top trainers in Finland ensures that the answers to the occupational safety card exam will come naturally through quality training.
If you are nervous about the exam, have medical restrictions, or suspect that the exam will be linguistically challenging for you, you can inform the instructor privately at the beginning of the training when verifying your identity or during a break.
The mobile card is available immediately after successfully completing the course and also serves as proof of course completion. The mobile card can be downloaded at https://mobiili.korttitieto.fi/. If necessary, the course instructor can issue a temporary certificate of course completion, valid for a maximum of one month (4 weeks). The plastic card will be mailed to the delivery address provided at registration. The delivery time for the card is approximately 2-3 weeks, depending on postal services. The Occupational Safety Card is valid for 5 years from the month of completion, so for example, a card completed in April 2024 will be valid until April 30, 2029.
If your certification is still valid, you can renew it by completing a refresher course. The refresher course lasts 4 lessons and includes an exam. Please note that the card must still be valid on the day of the training. If the card has expired, the certification must be renewed by completing the 7-lesson training and exam again.
